The messages of support that vinicius junior received after yet another racist attack he suffered in Spain, this Sunday (21), they also arrived at the Real Madrid striker’s family, in Rio. The player’s younger brother, Netinho, made a publication to thank all the empathy and solidarity. But, he did not deny that the family is still suffering from the episode.
“Thank you all for the messages of affection! Me and my family, at the moment, are not well, but I will respond to each one of you”, wrote Netinho via stories on his Instagram profile.
Before thanking for the messages, Netinho, who is also a player and is in the youth divisions of Boavista Sport Club, from Saquarema, Região dos Lagos in Rio de Janeiro, had already used the networks to publish a photo next to his brother: “No there are no words to describe what you have been suffering in this Lga, but we are together until the end”, he wrote. O F5 got in touch with Netinho this Tuesday (23), but did not get a response.
After pressure not only from the world of the ball, the entity that organizes the Spanish Championship, La Liga, took the first step in relation to the attack suffered by Vinicius Júnior and dismissed the referee of the match between Valencia and Real Madrid.
The Spanish government also began to take action on the attacks on the Brazilian athlete. So far, seven people have been recognized and arrested for involvement in racist episodes against Vinicius Júnior – three in Valencia, related to Sunday’s game, and four in Madrid, framed in a hate crime, for hanging a doll of the attacker from a bridge.
“The National Police today arrested three young people in Valencia for racist behavior that occurred last Sunday in the game between Valencia and Real Madrid, for the Spanish Championship,” announced La Liga, which published a video warning that racists are out of football.
