An unforgettable night will be lived on October 14 at Gran Arena Monticello when two pop music icons from the ’90s arrive on this stage: Aqua and C+C Music Factory with their hits “Barbie Girl” and “Gonna make you sweat (Everybody dance now)”, respectively. Tickets for the 90th event will go on sale through the Topticket.cl system from Monday, May 29 at 11:00 am. The person in charge of opening the show will be Cristián “Chico” Pérez, who will put on the best sets to set the mood alight.
The Danish group Aqua reached its worldwide fame in the 90s, obtaining millions of views on all radio stations in the world thanks to its happy and lively song “Barbie Girl”, but it did not only stop there, they increased their sales records and kept on the charts of the most played songs of the time with his next single, “Doctor Jones”.
The kings of “bubblegum pop” continued their career with live shows until 2001 when they announced a break to rest, although over the years they had recurring meetings and in 2011 they released a third album. Already without Claus Norreen, Lene Nystrøm Rasted, René Dif and Søren Nystrøm Rasted continued playing live and at the beginning of 2022 they announced a tour that is the one that will bring them to our country.
But if it’s about 90s music to dance to, C+C Music Factory with its hit “Do you wanna get Funky?” It is also noted at the top of the most reproduced. The group’s voice, Freedom Williams, will arrive with the hits to which she gave her voice such as “Gonna make you sweat (Everybody dance now)” or “Here we go (Let’s rock & roll)”.
Freedom Williams has traveled and performed all over the world and will land at the Gran Arena Monticello in the midst of her film projects, community activism and new music.
