Former Liverpool player Diane Lovren has praised his colleague and friend, Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah, stressing that he should be compared to legends Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi because of the amount of effort he puts in daily.
The Egyptian captain scored 186 goals in 303 matches with the “Reds”, in addition to 77 assists.
Lovren said in statements to the official Liverpool channel: “We talk every month, we call each other at least twice a week. We are really good friends, and we tell each other secrets not only about football. It is really great to have a friend like Salah.”
He continued, “You don’t know how much effort it takes to get his body the way it is now. He’s doing really hard work.”
And he added, “Sometimes, after training, I just sit on the couch watching TV, and this guy answers from his pool and says, ‘Yes, let me do my swimming session.'”
And he added, “I tell him: Mo, I just trained in the morning!, To reply: Just let me do it. Then you say to yourself, players like him, like Ronaldo and Messi, do more than perfect.”
