Inter Milan was crowned the Italian Football Cup, after defeating Fiorentina 2-1, on Wednesday, in the final match of the tournament, which was hosted by the Olympic Stadium in the Italian capital, Rome.
Inter succeeded in snatching the title for the ninth time in its history, and the second in a row, as it had won the title of last season’s edition at the expense of Juventus in the final.
And winning the Italian Cup came to put the team in a state of tremendous morale, as it prepares to face Manchester City in the Champions League final on June 10 in Istanbul.
Fiorentina took the lead in the third minute through Nicholas Gonzalez, but Inter managed to equalize in the 29th minute through Lautaro Martinez.
In the 37th minute, Martinez scored the second goal for Inter Milan, giving his team the title.
