Borussia Dortmund striker Sebastian Haller showed great enthusiasm to celebrate with the fans the team’s possible coronation of the German Football League (Bundesliga) title this season.
Haller said in an interview with the newspaper “Sport Bild”: I drive my car sometimes around the town of Bursiegplatz. I would really like to see this place filled with people. We still have 90 minutes left, and we need to take the final step now.
It should be noted that the Borsigplatz area in Dortmund is the one that witnessed the establishment of the club and is expected to be an important center for celebrations if Dortmund is crowned the Bundesliga title for the first time since 2012.
Borussia Dortmund leads the German international, by two points, against rivals Bayern Munich, who have dominated the title for the past ten seasons.
The title will be decided through the final thirty-fourth stage scheduled for Saturday, when Borussia Dortmund will meet Mainz, and Bayern Munich will be a guest at Cologne.
Dortmund needs to win any result to clinch the title, regardless of the outcome of the Bayern match, while Bayern needs to win with Dortmund facing a setback, in order to clinch the title for the eleventh consecutive season.
Haller said: Celebrating the title in Bursiegplatz is something I expect will be amazing. We all want to be a part of this special moment.
Haller, who scored a brace for Dortmund in the match that ended with a 3-0 win over Augsburg a few days ago to take the lead, was absent from the team in the first half of the season, as he was receiving treatment for cancer, and the player believes that he has not yet reached his best level.
Haller said: Doctors say it takes about a year to get rid of all traces of treatment. Not only did I learn not to waste my time with negative thoughts, I learned to focus on positive thoughts.
