At the Red Bull Arena, FC Cincinnati was more effective from 12 steps, overcame the NY Red Bulls 5-3 and advanced to the United States Quarterfinals – US Open Cup 2023. With penalties by Luciano Acosta, Júnior Moreno , Dominique Badji, Yerson Mosquera and Álvaro Barreal. The local team was left out when Dante Vanzeir failed.
