Sagan Tosu beat Urawa Red Diamonds 2-0 during their match on Wednesday in the twelfth round of the Japanese Football League, in the latter’s first meeting after winning the recent AFC Champions League.
Yuichi Naganuma and Kohei Tezuka scored Sagan Tosu’s goals in the 70th and 75th minutes, raising his score to 14 points in twelfth place, and Urawa Red Diamonds’ balance stopped at 17 points in eighth place.
Urawa Red Diamonds was crowned Asian champion for the third time in its history, last Saturday, after defeating Al Hilal Saudi Arabia 2-1 in the two-legged aggregate.
