BOGOTÁ (AP) — A Colombian army helicopter collapsed on Sunday in Quibdó, in the west of the country, President Gustavo Petro reported without detailing the possible victims of the emergency.
“I have given the order to the authorities to immediately move to the area to attend to the emergency and investigate the causes of what happened,” Petro said in a Twitter message.
The president assured that the aircraft was carrying out supply tasks in the area. Videos posted on social networks show the moment the helicopter spins before collapsing.
