On Saturday, the Portuguese, Roy Vittoria, coach of the first Egyptian national team, Mahmoud Abdel Moneim “Kahraba”, the Al-Ahly striker, returned to the final squad that will play a camp this month before playing two matches in the African Nations Cup qualifiers.

Kahraba scored a hat-trick in Al-Ahly’s 4-0 victory over its Cameroonian host Cotton on Friday, in the fifth and penultimate round of the CAF Champions League group stage.

The federation said on its Facebook page that the coaching staff of the first team, led by Vitoria, announced the final list of players who will enter a camp this month, which will include two matches against Malawi on March 24 and 28 in the third and fourth round of the 2024 African Cup of Nations qualifiers in Ivory Coast.

Kahraba, 28, returned to the stadiums last January, after a long absence of 15 months, to be suspended, to shine with his Al-Ahly team before returning to the Egyptian national team.

Egypt ranks fourth and last in Group D, with three points behind, on goal difference, from Ethiopia, Malawi and Guinea, all of whom have the same balance after the first two rounds.

Goalkeepers: Mohamed El Shennawy, Ahmed El Shennawy and Mohamed Sobhi.

Defenders: Muhammad Hani, Hisham Salah, Muhammad Hamdi, Ahmed Fattouh, Ahmed Hegazy, Ali Jabr, Muhammad Abdel Moneim and Osama Jalal.

Midfielders: Tariq Hamed, Imam Ashour, Mahmoud Hamada, Marawan Attia, Hamdi Fathi, Ahmed Sayed “Zizou”, Mustafa Fathi, Omar Marmoush, Ahmed Abdel Qader and Mohamed Salah.
