Djamel Belmadi, coach of Algeria, renewed the blood of his team before facing Niger, back and forth, in the 2024 African Cup of Nations qualifiers, on the 23rd and 27th of this month.

The list witnessed the absence of the first goalkeeper, Rais Wahab Mbolhi, who was dismissed by Belmadi due to his low level and his playing in the second division league in Saudi Arabia with Al-Qadisiyah.

The list also witnessed the presence of many new names that Belmadi preferred to invite in support of his project to renew the blood of the national team.

Hossam Aouar, the new face and star of Olympique Lyonnais club, was absent, despite obtaining the green light to represent Algeria, due to his desire to restore his full level with his club before making his first appearance with the national team of his country of origin.

Belmadi supported the defense line with a right-back from Bastia Van den Khairkov, left-back Nantes Joan Hajjam, and Wolverhampton player Ryan Ait Nouri.

The list also witnessed the presence of a single player from the local league, USM defender Zinedine Belaid, who starred in the African Championship for locals in Algeria.

The list also included Nice striker Badreddine Bouanani and Toulouse striker Faris Chaibi.
