German police have begun investigations into the use of droplets of a substance that causes unconsciousness against fans in the Freiburg-Hoffenheim match in the German Football League (Bundesliga) last Sunday.
Many fans believe they have been affected by the substance, which is sometimes used in rape cases, and police have called on witnesses to testify.
For its part, FC Freiburg announced on its official website that there are many, many suspected cases of substances that are used in German league stadiums, noting that fans should not have any drinks from unknown persons.
Freiburg hosts Juventus, Italy, later on Thursday in the European League.
