The process of reorganizing the Rai channels on digital terrestrial frequencies continues. Standard definition broadcasts of the two general interest channels ended last night Rai 1 and Rai 2 which are visible today only in high definition in the digital terrestrial LCN positions 1 and 2 respectively. This operation made it possible to “free up” space on the frequencies and therefore the start of HD transmissions of the information channel Rai News which therefore from today 16 March is visible in high definition to channel 48 of the remote control.
The second novelty concerns the Smart TVs already connected to the Internet (with at least HbbTV version 2.0.1 active). In addition to the vision of Rai 4K (channel 101) on air starting from the last Qatar 2022 World Cup, now the HD versions of the other Rai thematic channels are active in this mode, i.e. Rai 4HD (521), Rai 5 HD (523), Rai Movie HD (524), Rai Premium HD (525), Rai Gulp HD (542), Rai Yoyo HD (543), Rai Storia HD (554). It should be noted that if the TV does not have a network connection instead of the channels listed above you will see a sign like the one at the top of this page.
As always in these cases we suggest to ALL ITALY the automatic/complete retuning of the frequencies of your TV/decoder in order to be sure of correctly “engaging” the technical parameters of all the channels involved in the change.

Mux A Rai:
- The “Rai 3 SD (provisional)” LCN 503 channel has been eliminated. The “Rai News 24 HD” LCN 48 channel has been added. The Jump HbbTV channels “Rai 4 HD” LCN 521 and “Rai 5 HD” LCN 523 have also been added. There is a sign on the air. This sign which is also present on the other Jump HbbTV channels has been changed with the updated list of all channels. We also point out that the copy of “Rai Sport HD” LCN 146 has been eliminated. The LCN 146 numbering is therefore now free. The “Rai News 24 HD” channel broadcasts with a resolution of 1280x720p 25 fps.
Mux B Rai:
- The channels “Rai 1 SD (provisional)” LCN 501 and “Rai 2 SD (provisional)” LCN 502 have been eliminated. The Rai generalist SD channels have therefore definitively stopped broadcasting! Added the channels “Rai 1 HD” LCN 501, “Rai 2 HD” LCN 502, “Rai 3 HD” LCN 503, “Rai Movie HD” LCN 524, “Rai Premium HD” LCN 525, “Rai Gulp HD” LCN 542 , “Rai YoYo HD” LCN 543 and “Rai Storia HD” LCN 554. There is a sign on the air. The copy channel “Rai Scuola” LCN 146 was also added.
