The Czech Marketa Vondrousova defeated Anas Jaber in two straight sets, 7/6 (7/5) and 6/4, to qualify at her expense to the fourth round (round of sixteen).
The Polish star, Iga Chivontec, ranked first in the world, also advanced to the fourth round by defeating Canadian Bianca Andreescu 6/3, 7/6 (7/1).
Chivontec will meet in the fourth round, British Emma Radukano, 20, the US Open champion 2021, who qualified by defeating Brazilian Beatrice Haddad Maya 6/1, 2/6, 6/4.
Radocano has begun to climb back up the world rankings, coming into the current tournament ranked 77th after a season plagued by injuries.
Raducano has won four of her last five matches, the defeat to world number six Coco Gauff at the Australian Open.
France’s Caroline Garcia, ranked fifth in the world, achieved a tough victory against Canadian Lila Fernandez, defeating her 6/4, 6/7 (5/7), 6/1.
Garcia will meet in the fourth round, Romanian Sorana Cirstea, who qualified by defeating American Bernarda Pera 6/3, 6/1.
Czech Karolina Mokova also advanced to the fourth round by defeating Italian Martina Trevisan 6/4, 3/6, 6/4, and Kazakh Elena Rybakina, the Wimbledon champion, defeated Spain’s Paula Badusa 6/3, 7/5.
