Members of the Forum Madridan international alliance between various political figures, delivered a letter to the Organization of American States (OAS) -signed by dozens of foreign deputies and parliamentarians- against the “interference” denounced from Peru.

In recent months, presidents like Gustavo Petro and Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO)-presidents of Colombia and Mexico, respectively- referred on more than one occasion to the political crisis in the country.
The comments escalated, in the last days, after AMLO classify as “spurious” Dina Boluarte, President of the Republicand Petro considered members of the Peruvian National Police (PNP) as “Nazis”.

The Forum met in Washington DC with the OAS Secretary General, Luis Almagro, and handed him the document bearing the signatures of 188 parliamentarians from fourteen nations.
“The destabilization campaign against Peru was denounced. The letter details the actions against the Peruvian government since the letter of Arce, Petro, Fernandez and Lopez Obrador, to the vandal protests, going through the false humanitarian mission, made up of agitators related to Cristina Kirchner”, indicated the entity.

The president ordered the removal of Manuel Talavera, Peruvian ambassador to Mexico, after AMLO’s statements, whom she accuses of “interference in internal affairs.”
The institution also warned “of the claim of the São Paulo Forum and the Puebla Group to displace the OAS”, this with the purpose of replacing it “by a CELAC that is at the service of the tyrannies of the continent”.
“Forum Madrid is determined to counteract the interference of the São Paulo Forum and the Puebla Group. If the overthrow of the Peruvian government is allowed, as a result of this interference, no nation will be safe.
