Al-Nasr regained the top spot in the Saudi Professional League, “Roshen”, by defeating its guest, Al-Ettifaq, in the first official appearance of its striker, Cristiano Ronaldo, on Sunday.
Talisca scored the victory goal with a header in the 31st minute, raising the score of his team to 33 points from 14 matches, one point ahead of Al-Hilal, the defending champion, who played 15 matches.
Portugal captain Ronaldo joined Al-Nasr this month, but has not participated since then due to his suspension after being sent off in the last match with his former team, Manchester United, in England.
