It was an intimate and private ceremony. “I am very happy next to you”, were the first words of Maria Belen Luduena when taking the microphone on the altar mounted under the mythical rubber tree on the terraces of the Central hall of La Rural.
Visibly moved, between tears she confessed to her new husband, Buenos Aires government minister Jorge Macri: “On August 8, 2018, I remember that you asked me to be your girlfriend. I arrived at my house, my mother was there, and I began to write a few lines to dedicate to you. I don’t know why I lost those lines, but now, four and a half years later, I felt at that moment that I had found you”.
It was 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 12, and the prelude to a night full of emotions. “YouI swear I’m so happy because you gave me tranquility, you gave me peace, you gave me love. You integrated me into your family.” continued Belén, sheathed in an exclusive design by Fabián Zitta. And she sentenced: “I love you Jorge.”
For his part, Jorge chose to read something he had written the night before.: “You achieved something that had not yet happened to me in love. The most difficult thing is that the dreams are the same. We managed to build a common dream”. And he added: “I promise to give everything so that this love, this project of ours lasts a lifetime. I promise to be by your side at every step and know how to ask you to be by my side. I love you deeply and joyfully. I love you simply and complexly. I love you today and I love you forever.”
After the vows At 8:00 p.m., the couple received more guests at the Central de La Rural restaurant, located next to the deck where the ceremony took place. Among the guests were former president Mauricio Macri and his wife Juliana Awada; the president of the national PRO, Patricia Bullrich; and the Buenos Aires Head of Government, Horacio Rodríguez Larreta . The national deputies were also present, Diego Santilli, Cristian Ritondo, Waldo Wolf, Gerardo Millman and María Sotolano, national senator Humberto Schiavoni, Emilio Monzó, Gabriela Michetti; the mayors Néstor Grindetti, Soledad Martínez, Diego Valenzuela, Julio Garro, Guillermo Montenegro, Pablo Petrecca, Mariano Barroso, Javier Martínez and Joaquín De la Torre, and members of the Cabinet of the City of Buenos Aires such as Felipe Miguel, Marcelo D’Alessandro, Fernán Quirós, Soledad Acuña, Clara Muzzio , Fernando Straface and Martin Mura; legislators from the City of Buenos Aires such as E manuel Ferrario, Eugenio Casielles and Ramiro Marra; and the current Jorge Macri Campaign Manager, Fernando De Andreis.
Among the celebrities, they were part Mirtha Legrand, Carolina Pampita Ardohain with her husband, Roberto García Moritán, Flavia Palmiero, Yanina Latorre, Pia Shaw, Guillermo Andino with his wife, Carolina Prat, and Fabián Doman, Luis Novaresio, Baby Etchecopar, Paulo Vilouta and “Toti” Pasman. In addition, among the businessmen were Nicolás Caputo, Alejandro Macfarlane, Gabriel Hochbaum uan Cruz Avila. The wedding witnesses were the sisters of the bride, María Paz and María Josefina, and those of the groom, Daniela and Antonella, and the mother of the bride, María Victoria Díaz Peyrot, and Juan Alberto Salvi.
The style of the party was very relaxed, with very few tables and high tables or living rooms so that the guests could move from one place to the other without remaining static in one place. For the decoration the couple chose a modern style. They filled the place with flowers and screens. The menu that the guests enjoyed was very exclusive. For the reception they chose cold and hot snacks, a Mediterranean table and a Creole stand. There were several options for the main course: Thai green prawn curry with basmati rice, cucumber pickles, basil, ginger and lime; tenderloin steaks with Dijon aioli, crispy potatoes, seven ways tomato and corn gremolata; and dishes suitable for celiacs and vegetarians. Dessert was passion fruit brunette, pineapple tiradito and mango sorbet.
The celebration It was divided into three shifts: the first and main one from 6:00 p.m. for those close friends and relatives of the former mayor of Vicente López and the lawyer who is also a native of Mar del Plata; the second at 8:00 p.m. for VIP and close guests; and then, from 10:30 p.m., one for more friends and people related to their work. The party lasted until 5:00 a.m. on Sunday and the hundreds of guests reflected the celebration on their social networks, despite the fact that the use of photos and videos to be displayed had to be moderated at the request of the couple.
“We appreciate the discreet and careful use of the cell phone, and the images that we upload to the networks,” it was indicated through little signs located on each table and living rooms distributed around the room. Among the most sought after for selfies and greetings were Mirtha, Mauricio Macri and Horacio Rodríguez Larreta.
In the case of Legrand, appealing to his punctuality, he arrived at La Rural in the afternoon and enjoyed the party until 9:15 p.m., when he left. Obviously, most of the guests interpreted that she was leaving due to logical exhaustion and, at the same time, as a professional and obsessive about her work, she wanted to see the program that she hosts at her house, “Mirtha’s Night”, on the eltrece screen. In the case of Macri, there was a lot of expectation to know if he was going to attend the ceremony and the subsequent celebration of the marriage of his cousin and possible candidate for head of the Buenos Aires Government.
The former president became president and stayed for a long time at the celebration, where there was room to chat and take some photos with those present −especially with the businessman and former president of Boca Juniors Daniel Angelici−.
One of the highlights was when he danced on stage with his wife Juliana Awada, to the rhythm of “Ráfaga”, which offered a minishow around 10:30 p.m. Larreta’s presence was also expected along with his Brand new couple, Milagros Maylin. And it was thought that she would attend the event together with the Secretary of Comprehensive Well-being and the Elderly of the City, in a sort of official public presentation, but the date coincided with her birthday, which already had plans.
Those present had to settle for the reciprocal postings that were dedicated on networks. It is worth remembering that Horacio had his birthday on October 29. For now, there was only one photo together at the Coldplay recital, since he made the relationship official in a report he gave to Novaresio on the La Nación news signal
. Around 2:00 a.m., the bride and groom disappeared from the scene while the guests continued to enjoy the rhythm of the music after the sweet table. At one point, a batucada with musicians and dancers of Afro rhythms, some dressed as jungle animals, played the La Portuaria classic “Selva” and appeared Belén and Jorge dressed as park rangers, with a hat and binoculars included. The couple danced to the catchy rhythm of the melody and the guests received masks of jungle animals and piluso-style hats, with an animal print to add to the proposal.
It was the finishing touch for a party that had all the condiments of a great wedding: love, an attractive social circle and lots of fun. The evening was the finishing touch to a surprising love story. The journalist and lawyer met Jorge in 2017, while working at Channel 26. “When you meet someone and it’s like you feel it. He seemed like a super entering guy. We took a selfie on the show. He wrote to me and asked me for the photo ”, Ludueña recounted.
In that same conversation, the politician asked her out but she was not encouraged. After a year, when she started working with Eduardo Feinmann, the journalist insisted that she go out with him. “He told me that he was a great guy, good people and that he encouraged me to meet him. Then I went to his house and stayed because I felt very good. There began a story”, recalls Belén, with the conviction and love that there are still many chapters to write. The bride and groom danced to the rhythm of a waltz and swore eternal love. At the end of the night, Belén complied with the tradition of the bouquet.
