The Spanish national football team may have to play their first match in the World Cup against Costa Rica on Wednesday without defender Dani Carvajal.
Carvajal, 30, missed training on Monday due to a cold. He could be replaced by Cesar Azpilicueta.
On the other hand, striker Alvaro Morata returned to training, as he was ill like Caravajal, in addition to suffering from stomach problems.
The Spanish national team, the 2010 world champion, will meet the German national team in the second round of Group E competitions next Sunday, and then conclude its matches in the group stage against the Japanese national team.
